THIRD ANNOUNCEMENT
The World Federation for Culture Collections is pleased to release the third announcement of the 12th International Conference on Culture Collections (ICCC12) to be held in Florian�polis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The Conference program includes 8 keynote plenary sessions and 12 parallel sessions. The posters will be presented in 4 thematic sessions and invited oral presentations ( selected from the conference abstracts) will be delivered in 8 sessions. Presentations and discussions will focus on:
- Biological Resource Centers as infrastructure for innovation in science and technology
- Impact of information and communication technology (ICT) on resource centers
- Impact of legal and safety issues on the operation of culture collections
- Challenges in the preservation of global biological material
- Quality management, certification and accreditation of biological resource centers
- Cutting-edge developments in microbial taxonomy and ecology
- Networking activities and international collaboration
POSTER SESSIONS:
The poster panels will be displayed from Monday morning to Thursday afternoon, and will be aranged in the following thematic sessions:
- Biotechnological applications
- Microbial taxonomy and ecology
- Data management, networks and information systems
- Microbial Resource Centers: preservation, quality management, legal and safety issues
Guidelines for Poster preparation:
- Posters must include: a) title of work, b) author(s), c) institution(s), d) Key words and text (and figures) addressing clearly the purpose, methods, results and conclusions of the work.
- Poster dimensions should be no larger than 1500 mm tall x 1000 mm wide
